Dear Participants of the 7th POL-VIET Conference!
It's hard to believe that 2 weeks have already passed since the our Conference in Krakow. We would like to thank all participants who were with us in Krakow and also those online for their active participation and for celebrating together successes in Polish–Vietnamese cooperation.
The second part of our event — New opening for Polish–Vietnamese scientific cooperation — is currently taking place in Hanoi – cross fingers!

About
Since 2014, on the initiative of His Magnificence Rector Tadeusz Słomka, the AGH University in Krakow together with Hanoi University of Mining and Geology (HUMG) have been organizing the International Conference Scientific-Research Cooperation between Vietnam and Poland (POL-VIET/VIET-POL). The aim of this undertaking is to develop scientific-research cooperation between Poland and Vietnam, but also to summarize our common projects and initiatives. Development of the bilateral contacts in the field of education and collaboration with industry is also an essential aspect of the Conference.
The very important element of the POL-VIET 1st edition, that took place at the AGH University in 2014, was the solemn signing of the student exchange agreement between the AGH University and the HUMG. During the 2nd edition of VIET-POL, organized at the HUMG in 2015, the jubilee of 25th anniversary of cooperation between the AGH University and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) was celebrated. The 3rd edition, that took place also at the HUMG in 2016, was combined with the jubilees of the 50th anniversary of the HUMG foundation and of the 30th anniversary of the AGH University and the HUMG cooperation. The 4th edition, organized at the AGH University in 2017, was affiliated with the IV Polish Mining Congress. Besides, within its framework the Polish-Vietnam Business Forum was arranged. This event was attended by the international guests and the representatives of the Polish industry. In 2019 in Krakow POL-VIET was a part of 100 anniversary of the AGH University funding and opening. Unfortunately, in 2021 we couldn't meet in Hanoi or Krakow due to the pandemic. The 6th VIET-POL was organized by HUMG online — that was a new challenge for our cooperation.
During all POL-VIET/VIET-POL editions, the thematic sessions, the study visits and formal meetings were filled with discussions, experience exchange, planning for the future and establishing new contacts. There were also recollections accompanying touching reunions after many years.
